Advantages of Interning in a Start Up

WHY WORK IN  A STARTUP?

Once the exams end , the buzz word of every collegiate is INTERNING. But why the hell do you need to intern??? After loads of sleepless nights and anguish of passing on the brink YOU need to rest .Of course. But one another important thing we all forget is the ease with which this time can be modeled for LIFELONG VALUABLE  beneficiaries .And this time is all the more important because life might not give us an opportunity to re-reap these beneficiaries.

What beneficiaries are we talking about?

THAT OF WORKING IN a STARTUP.-Let’s see how

 v  Better Work Experience
Startups provide better job profile to the interns. As they are in the beginning stage, so there are a lot of work to be done whereas funds are limited in case of most of the startups. Thus it provides an opportunity to the interns to do work of a permanent employee or a more experienced employee which the company couldn't afford to hire. Whereas in case of a well-established company, there is already sufficient workforce and well qualified professionals so as a result, the intern mostly doesn't get the good quality of work to do.

v Better Exposure
Because of the reason stated above, interns get better exposure to the outside world in a startup. They themselves are involved in complex jobs and then understand how the work is done in a corporate world.

v Dynamic Experience
Since the size of the firm is generally small in case of a startup, so intern get an opportunity to know about the various phases of the business i.e. they get a broad idea about what all jobs are there in a startup and how they are performed.

v  Better Involvement
In a startup, interns are actively involved in various jobs.  In many cases, interns also get an opportunity to participate in decision making. Their opinions, views and suggestions are welcomed and appreciated. Interns generally don’t get this opportunity in big companies.

v More Authority and Responsibility
Interns are generally provided more authority in a startup. The get freedom to think innovatively and implement their creative ideas with the consent of the entrepreneur.

v Better Learning
Because of active participation and freedom to work, interns tend to learn more in a startup than in a big company.

v Can help a lot if thinking to have your own Start up
If you are looking forward to start something of your own i.e. a startup, internship in a startup can really help. It will provide you information about how to go about your idea and convert it into a startup. You will get to know the legal rules and regulations (if any) that are to be fulfilled for a startup. You will also get to know about the various areas where you have to pay attention at the time of starting up something of your own and how you should go about it.

v Practical Learning
Learning is not theoretical. Interns have the power of using HIT AND TRIAL which teaches you real business.
